The Shun Classic 7.75″ Vegetable Cleaver, also known as a Chinese cleaver, has a large squared-off profile with a very deep blade. But the blade is still ground thin, and it has a very fine cutting edge, so please don’t use it on bones! Instead, use it to chop any type of vegetables, large and small. This cleaver accels for virtually every kind of chopping and slicing. The flat of the blade makes a great tool for smashing garlic cloves or ginger, too. The Shun Classic Vegetable Cleaver makes a great primary knife, and it’s a pleasure to use.
