Shun Kanso 7″ Asian Utility Knife

The Shun Kanso 7″ Asian Utility Knife has a nice, deep blade that brings a little extra heft to your dowstrokes for effortless chopping and mincing. The profile lies somewhere between a Chinese vegetable cleaver and Santoku, and we absolutely love it for all-day veg prep but the fine-edged tip adds additional functionality for chopping small and brunoise dices, triming and protein portioning. The very straight edge also makes super-straight pull slices. The spared-down, but fully forged Kanso Line includes Shun’s “heritage” finish to create an understated, rustic look that will become increasingly beautiful with time and use. Tagayasan wood slats flank the full tang and are secured by two rivets. Great versatility and performance, with a big dollop of fun!
